Most accommodation properties on Rarotonga Island have a check-in time of 12 noon to 2pm and a check-out time of 10am. Early morning arrivals must pre-register the night before arrival or pay an early check-in charge in order to secure a room upon early morning arrival. Reduced day room rates are available at most properties from 10am until 6pm. Full room rates apply after 6pm unless specified.

VARA'S BEACH HOUSE PROPERTIES - A very popular budget property located right on Muri Beach with excellent snorkelling and swimming. There is a variety of accommodation from hostel type with shared toilet and bathroom. All have shared kitchen facilities. There are also several self-contained units located right on or close to the beach. BBQ and Internet facilities are also available. There are also bungalows and shared-facilities located on the hillside above Muri Beach which are also popular. Washing machines are available. All units are service daily except Sunday.

MAIANA GUESTHOUSE - 9 hostel type rooms located across the street from a white sandy beach in the village of Turoa (between Arorangi and Muri Beach) There are 5 rooms with twin beds, 3 rooms with 3xsingle beds, and 1 dorm room with 7 beds. Communal lounge and kitchen facilities, bathroom and laundry. Two new beachfront bungalows have been completed this year which are located on the beach opposite the guesthouse, and feature double bed, private shower and toilet, and kitchen facilities. Bus stop llocated at the front entrance.

RAU'S GUESTHOUSE - A 5 bedroom budget style home in Vaimaanga close to the Palm Grove. There are 3 rooms with double beds and 2 rooms with 2 single beds. All bedrooms have insect screens. There are 2 bathrooms with private shower and toilet. The Guesthouse features a communal kitchen with fridge, stove, toaster, and tea & coffee making facilities. The communal lounge features TV and DVD and private telephone. There is washing machine facilities and wall fans in every room.. There is a white sandy beach across the street and the property is located on the main bus route and handy to local grocery shops.

RAROTONGA BACKPACKERS.COM - A popular beachfront location located in the village of Arorangi. There is a variety of accommodation available from room in the house to private beachfront bungalows. The main house features a dormitory room and 3 twin rooms with insect screens and fans. The beach house has either 1 or 2 bedrooms with own bathroom, plus kitchen, telephone, and laundry. There is also a self contained bungalow which sleeps up to 3 persons with kitchen, private bathroom, fans, insect screens and private sun deck. The Beachfront Home features 2 bedrooms each with double bed, private shower and toilet, fully equipped kitchen, laundry, private telephone, TV and DVD and located on the beach approximately 600 metres from the main complex. The property features a swimming pool. There is also a hillside property with swimming pool available.

AQUARIUS AIRPORT HOTEL- This boutique hotel is situated on the beach and across the street from the International Airport. All standard rooms are ocean view and feature either queen size beds with lounges or 2 x dividable kingsize beds that can be converted to 4 x single beds. Each Oceanview room has its own private shower and toilet, tea and coffee facilities, mini fridge and ceiling fans. Tropical breakfast is also included for these rooms only.
