YOUR RAROTONGA ACCOMMODATION GUIDE features Budget properties including guesthouses, backpacker and lower priced motels and units which are listed below. Most accommodation properties on Rarotonga Island have a check-in time of 12 noon to 2pm and a check-out time of 10am. Early morning arrivals must pre-register the night before arrival or pay an early check-in charge in order to secure a room upon early morning arrival. Reduced day room rates are available at most properties from 10am until 6pm. Full room rates apply after 6pm unless specified.

VARA'S BEACH HOUSE PROPERTIES - A very popular budget property located right on Muri Beach with excellent snorkelling and swimming. There is a variety of accommodation from hostel type with shared toilet and bathroom. All have shared kitchen facilities except the self contained beach studio which has a small ktchenette and bathroom. There are also several self-contained units located right on or close to the beach. BBQ and Internet facilities are also available. Washing machines are available. All units are service daily except Sunday.

MURI HILLSIDE GUESTHOUSES - has a range of accommodation for couples, families or groups. There are self contained and regurlarly seviced houses. The owners Conrad and Serena live in the upper level apartment. There is a 2 storey four bedroom cottage, with three bedrooms on the upper level and a one bedroom cottage on the lower level. There is a cosy 2 bedroom self contained bungalow near the pool/deck which is suitable for small families. A lovely self contained studio is located on the hillside above the cottage is perfect for a couple seeking a getaway and the large 3 bedroom ground floor apartment is ideal for families or groups of friends. All the units are self conatined, mosquito screened windows and ceiling/standing fans.

RAROTONGA BACKPACKERS - A popular beachfront location located in the village of Arorangi. There is a variety of accommodation available from room in the house to private beachfront bungalows. The main house features a dormitory room and 3 twin rooms with insect screens and fans. The beach house has either 1 or 2 bedrooms with own bathroom, plus kitchen, telephone, and laundry. There is also a self contained bungalow which sleeps up to 3 persons with kitchen, private bathroom, fans, insect screens and private sun deck. The Beachfront Home features 2 bedrooms each with double bed, private shower and toilet, fully equipped kitchen, laundry, private telephone, TV and DVD and located on the beach approximately 600 metres from the main complex. The property features a swimming pool. There is also a hillside property with swimming pool available.

There is a minimum 2 night stay. Children Welcome.

ATUPA ORCHID UNITS- 4 units located on the back road near Avarua Town in a quiet garden setting. There are 2 studio units which feature double beds, private shower and toilet, standing fans, kitchen facilities and outdoor veranda; 1 and 2 bedroom bungalows featuring double bed for the 1-bedroom and 1 double bed and 2 single beds for the 2-bedroom bungalows, dining area, lounge, standing fans, private shower and toilet and veranda. TIARE VILLAGE - We are nestled in the secluded wooded hills of Rarotonga, approx 2.5 kilometres from the main town on the inland road, north side of the island.
