COOK ISLAND TOURS
AVARUA HISTORICAL WALKING TOUR
The Avarua historical walking tour is a 1.5 hour leisurely paced guided walk through the historical parts of Avarua. The tour is conducted by our knowledgeable guide who will trace the Cook Islands history from Polynesian settlement of Rarotonga to the discovery and colonisation by New Zealand administration, the missionaries and through to independance. The tour concludes at a nearby beach setting with fruits and juice refreshments.
The tour leaves Trader Jacks un Avarua. Please arrive 15 minutes early, wear comfortable walking shoes, bring water and wear sun protection. The tour starts at 3pm outside Trader Jacks and transfers are not inlcuded. Transfers can be included for an additional NZD $15 per person.
Costs: from NZD $60 per adult, NZD $45 per child and child 4 years and under FOC.
